The G54 OEM+ Rear Track Struts are developed for selected BMW F2X and F3X rear suspension layouts. A track strut controls the lateral relationship between the wheel carrier and the rear subframe, helping maintain stable toe and wheel position as cornering forces build. Worn or overly compliant bushes can allow the rear wheel to steer under load, reducing confidence and tyre consistency.
Each G54 strut is machined from 6082 grade aluminium billet on precision CNC equipment. The geometry is designed around accurate mounting centres and robust bush housings, with the connecting body profiled to provide strength without excessive weight. Powerflex polyurethane bushes reduce uncontrolled movement compared with aged rubber while retaining a level of isolation appropriate for an OEM+ road car.
The result is a suspension link designed to improve consistency rather than simply increase stiffness. The anodised surface protects the aluminium and gives customers a choice of colours, making the strut a functional and visually detailed addition to a carefully prepared BMW chassis. Four wheel alignment is required after installation.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Application: BMW F2X and F3X rear guiding suspension arm position
Recommended equipment: Vehicle lift, transmission or hub support, suitable sockets and spanners, torque wrench, approved spring or suspension support equipment where required, marking pen, alignment equipment and new single use fasteners where specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
Safety first: Work only on a cool, stable vehicle supported by approved lifting equipment. These instructions are an overview; the current OEM workshop procedure and torque data take priority.
Procedure
1. Confirm the exact chassis, axle layout and original arm part number. Compare the G54 component with the arm being replaced before removing any suspension fasteners.
2. Record the existing ride height and obtain a current alignment reading where possible. This provides a useful baseline and may identify pre-existing geometry or accident damage.
3. Raise and support the vehicle securely. Remove the relevant rear wheel and support the wheel carrier or suspension link so it cannot drop or twist when the arm is disconnected.
4. Mark the position of any eccentric washers or alignment bolts associated with the rear guiding suspension arm. These marks are only a reassembly reference and do not replace a final alignment.
5. Remove the fasteners at the body, subframe and wheel carrier ends in the sequence specified by the BMW workshop procedure. Replace any aluminium, torque to yield or single use hardware.
6. Inspect the mounting brackets, wheel carrier, subframe and adjacent bushes for distortion, corrosion or movement. Do not fit the new arm to damaged mounting points.
7. Compare the new arm orientation and bush widths with the original. Apply only the lubricant supplied or specified for the polyurethane bushes; avoid petroleum grease unless explicitly approved.
8. Install the G54 arm with the fasteners initially finger tight. Ensure the arm is not twisted and that any offset, chamfer or bush shoulder is facing the correct direction.
9. Bring the suspension to normal ride height using approved support equipment or a drive on lift. Tighten the mounting fasteners to the current BMW torque and angle specification.
10. Refit the wheel, lower the vehicle and complete a professional four wheel alignment. Set rear toe and camber to the intended road or performance specification.
11. Road test at low speed, listening for contact or knock. Reinspect the fasteners and bush seating after the initial test and again after the first period of use.
Post installation checks
A four wheel alignment is mandatory. Do not copy alignment bolt marks as the final setting.
Confirm that all removed covers, shields, hoses, wiring clips and undertrays are correctly refitted. Record the installation date, mileage and any alignment settings for future servicing.
